COVID-19 Update

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

Hello from Ogunquit,

Just like you, we have been monitoring the constantly changing COVID-19 situation over the last week or so.

Due to the circumstances around COVID-19, we have decided to postpone our opening for the season to Friday, May 1 to try and do our best to slow down the spread of the virus. While this was a difficult decision for us to make, the safety of our guests, staff, families and community is always the top priority. We are a small team, with our hotel being independently owned and run, and we would rather be abundantly cautious in these times.

We will continue to monitor the situation and are here to answer any questions along the way. When we re-open, we will be here to welcome you with open arms and with one of Ginny’s famous cheese & wine spreads in the lobby.

We are still accepting reservations from May 1 onward and sincerely hope you’ll visit us this summer in Ogunquit. When this passes, we would love to be able to offer you the hospitality we are known for.

This will be our 130th season at the Colonial Inn and we’ve been so lucky to share this beautiful place by the sea with all of you. The beautiful beaches, warm welcomes, excellent food and drink will all be here waiting for you. We think it’s important to have things to look forward to in these uncertain times.

Reservations for the summer are open and making one is the best way to support us and our staff through this temporary closure.

Thank you for your understanding, your kindness and your support and we wish you and your loved ones good health and safety.

See you soon,
Taylor & Ginny
