You’ll be pleased to know that the Colonial Inn hasn’t simply been in hibernation mode this winter—far from it.
We’re in the midst of an exciting renovation inside the Guest House, our lovely poolside cottage. Specifically, we’re revamping two of its two guestrooms on the second floor of the building: sprucing up Rooms 503 and 504 with brand-new flooring, furniture, and fixtures.
Enhancing the Guest House’s Appeal
Our main goal with these renovations? We want to make these guestrooms feel even more like their own private oceanside cottages. And with their handsome new look in combination with their well-appointed kitchenettes, king-size beds, and all-around spaciousness, we think that’s exactly the ambiance they deliver!
You can find out for yourself, though, when we open for our 2017 season. We’re very excited for the first guests to experience these new-and-improved accommodations in our always-popular Guest House (one of four vintage buildings composing our property)—and maybe you’ll be among them!
Our work on rooms 503 and 504 comes on the heels of our recent renovation of the Guest House’s most capacious unit, Room 501, which accommodates as many as five people and boasts a full kitchen.
The Colonial Inn Approach: Respecting Our History While Looking to the Future
All of these efforts are in keeping with the spirit of our approach here at the Colonial Inn. We’re immensely honored to manage such a historic property, which since 1890 has provided visitors to Ogunquit and the coast of Southern Maine with Victorian-style elegance. Even as we maintain that glamorous heritage, however, we’re always looking to improve our services—a commitment demonstrated by the $4 million renovation we performed back in 2013 upon assuming ownership of the Colonial Inn.
Pay the Colonial Inn a Visit in 2017
We hope you’ll come check out the new look to our Guest House rooms once we’re open for the season. We’re keenly looking forward to another fantastic year providing our guests with the finest hospitality Ogunquit has to offer—from the caliber of our guestrooms to on-site amenities such as our service bar and continental breakfast. The Colonial Inn experience is also about giving you a fantastically convenient jumping-off point for exploring nearby attractions in this seaside hamlet such as the Marginal Way, Perkins Cove, the Ogunquit Playhouse, and the Ogunquit Museum of American Art.
